The Robert Freimark Quartet *

Robert Freimark is a rising jazz pianist, music director, and accompanist from the Hudson Valley. Growing up in Cold Spring, he spent a lot of time at Haldane and the Philipstown Depot Theater working with K-12 students in numerous musical settings. Now, Robert is an active performer in jazz and musical theater in the greater NYC area and teaches privately in New Jersey. He currently studies jazz piano at William Paterson University under Bruce Barth and is a 2025 winner of YoungArts jazz.

Carter Stein is a jazz saxophonist from Easton, PA. He attends William Paterson University’s renowned jazz program where he studies under Rich Perry, Bill Charlap, and Mitch Butler. He has also recently been mentored by drummer Adam Nussbaum. Carter is now an active musician in the greater NYC area, playing with small ensembles, big bands, and pit orchestras. He has had performances at various venues and festivals including the Deer Head Inn, the COTA Jazz Festival, Dizzy’s Club, the Cleveland Jazz Festival, Nublu Classic, and the Mid-Atlantic Jazz Festival.

Marcelo Díaz is a young jazz bassist from Essex County, New Jersey. Since 2023, he has been a member of Jazz House Kids, a New Jersey program focused on bringing jazz education to the youth. Marcelo has spent the past few years playing various shows in the New Jersey area and performing at venues such as The Stone Pony, Montclair Jazz Festival, and Lincoln Center. Marcelo currently studies bass at William Paterson University with Marcus McLaurine. 

Maria Kolesnik is an up-and-coming jazz drummer based in NYC. Maria graduated from LaGuardia High School of the Performing Arts in 2022, and since then has played at a plethora of clubs including Dizzy’s, Swing 46, Drom NYC, Mezzrow and Birdland. She is currently pursuing an undergraduate degree at William Paterson University and studies with the great Johnathan Blake. Maria believes in the healing power of music and hopes to use it to make the world a better place
