Marti Sweet - Violin

Marti Sweet is a native of Boston and began playing the violin at the age of four. She studied with Alfred Krips of the Boston Symphony, attended the New England Conservatory and later received her Bachelor and Master Degrees from the Juilliard School as a scholarship student of Oscar Shumsky. Directly after graduating Juilliard, she joined the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra as its youngest member and later the National Arts Centre Orchestra in Canada where she was engaged to record a chamber music series for the CBC. She has been Concertmaster of the American Philharmonic Orchestra, the Spoleto Festival Orchestra (Italy), and served for many years as a member of the American Ballet Theatre Orchestra and the American Composer’s Orchestra. Marti was associate violinist in the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra 1989-2005. Well known and sought after for recordings and special events, Ms.Sweet has appeared in concert and recorded with Barbra Streisand, Aretha Franklin, Wynton Marsalis, Phil Ramone, Bernadette Peters, Jerry Lewis, Philip Glass, Hank Jones, Quincy Jones, Julie Andrews, Placido Domingo and other artists. She has served as concertmaster for Tony Bennett, Charles Aznavour and Carly Simon, and has recorded chamber music with Music Amici for New World Records, Arabesque, Helicon and for the Angel/EMI label with guest artists Joe Levano and Randy Brecker. Marti has also recorded for the GRP, Arista, Epic, Atlantic and Columbia record labels. She was the featured soloist for the Philip Glass soundtrack to “Kundun” and the 1998 Winter Olympics from Nagano, Japan. In addition to performing, Marti is also a devoted teacher to young violinists.

Eugene Moye Jr. - Cello

Eugene Moye Jr. has been ranked as “one of the foremost cellists of his generation” by the New York Times. He is the premier cellist on the New York classical music scene. Principal cellist of Westchester Philharmonic, American Symphony Orchestra, American Composers Orchestra and Opera Orchestra of New York, he has soloed with all those groups. He also is sought after to play numerous chamber music concerts. In addition to this Mr. Moye has recorded with or backed up nearly every popular music star including Michael Jackson, Brittany Spears, Ricky Martin, Tony Bennett, Ray Charles, Kiss, and countless others.

Ruobing (Ru) Zhang - Piano

Ruobing (Ru) Zhang is a multifaceted artist whose work spans the realms of piano, voice, musical theater, and martial arts, with numerous accolades across each domain. Ru’s impressive career has been built on a unique fusion of artistic expression, rigorous training, and diverse cultural influences. A dual-degree graduate of The Juilliard School, Ru earned both his Bachelor’s (2020) and Master’s (2022) degrees in Piano and Collaborative Piano, making him one of the most well-rounded and successful musicians of his time. Ru’s artistry has earned him recognition as a pianist, singer, teacher, and musical theater director. At the age of 14, he took the stage to perform Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No. 3 at the World Piano Competition, where he won both First Place and the prestigious Grand Prize. That same year, he claimed First and Grand Prize again at the 2012 US Youth Talent and Art Competition. A few years later, he recorded his debut classical piano album under China Record Corporation—the country’s most celebrated label. Ru’s other credits include winning the Grand Prize of Beijing’s International Water Cube Vocal Reality Show, and performing at a variety of prestigious venues: Feinstein’s/54 Below, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, and the Times Square Ball Drop. As a teacher, Ru has trained both vocalists and pianists to reach their fullest potential. Many of his students have reached the Broadway stage and received acceptances to prestigious colleges. Currently, he serves as a visiting faculty member at The Juilliard School, where he instructs dancers in musical theater. In his role as a musical theater director, Ru has worked with institutions such as City College Academy of the Arts and The Bronx Science and Technology Academy, where he music-directed productions of In the Heights (2018), Rent (2019), Mamma Mia (2021), and Once on This Island (2022) in New York City. Whether on stage, in the classroom, or behind the scenes, Ru pushes the limits of music and performance, blending tradition and innovation in everything he does.
